Family
Growing.
My big sister has the cutest family around... it's kind of ridiculous.
Maddon Raen Wicke
My amazing sister gave birth to her second bundle of joy today, can't wait to watch you grow, little man.
The Valentines
I got stuck with a NASTY flu over the holidays and almost missed out on photographing one of my favorite families. Luckily we made it happen, enjoy the photos!
And in case you were wondering how you end a fun shoot with GIANT balloons... You do THIS:
The Wicke's
Avery's first Birthday
Do you guys remember the adorable little blue-eyed Avery?? Well time flies, those baby blues turned a gorgeous brown and she had her very first birthday party! Her parents threw her a beautiful rainbow themed bash and I was happy to capture such a special day, check it out!
Curcio Maternity
Meaghan, Tim and their dog Keating are such an adorable family, and as of June 30th their son Clive added a whole new level of cute to this picture perfect family. Before the little man arrived we managed to sneak in a fun maternity shoot at the beach.....enjoy!
The Garrett's
I had such an fun time shooting the Garrett's up in Petaluma, CA this past weekend. The setting was beautiful and the Garrett's are such a loving family that it was impossible to take a bad portrait. Not to mention Sam is drop dead GORGEOUS, seriously one of the most beautiful pregnant women I have ever seen, right???! Enjoy the photos...
Meet the Fam...
People always ask for tips on how to prepare for photoshoots. What to wear, what to bring, how to act, etc. And I always tell clients the same tips:
1. Wear something that is "you", if it's a large group try to keep it neutral. Neutrals are timeless and these photos will last forever!
2. Bring options! Personally I wear glasses 50% percent of the time, so I wore them for a few shots, and took them off for a few as well.
3. Have fun with it! Don't be afraid to get silly! How often do you, and those closest to you get all dolled up and hang out for a few hours??? Enjoy it!
With that said, I'd like you all to meet my crazy family. The best way to learn more about someone is to know where they came from, go straight to the roots. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree; so without further delay, meet my lovely family!
My Dad, always in touch with the latest trends...decided that we needed to surprise Mom with a Flash Mob, the results were PRICELESS:
We had to throw in a few popular trends ourselves...
I have photographic proof that my parents are the most adorable couple...ever <3
(I'd also like to give a big thanks to my incredible boyfriend and second shooter Keith for snapping most of the shots, as well as the rest of the family who got involved and snapped a few of us!)
The De La Riva Ladies
I'm kind of obsessed with this family portrait session. The De La Riva ladies look absolutely stunning in their black dresses and the natural setting was perfect to contrast them. It was so fun shooting and getting hollered and honked at for most of the shoot, these ladies stopped traffic...LITERALLY!
